Nonviolent Communication in education

Teaching Compassion → Building Connection

Help us build a Nonviolent Communication community near schools. Your contribution supports the training of two key members of our team and the launch of a new community.

Community Intention

Imagine schools where mutual respect, empathy, and a collaborative learning environment thrive. Where teachers understand the needs behind challenging behaviors. Where students feel truly seen and heard.

Nonviolent Communication offers connection before correction. It puts the relationship at the forefront—the very foundation upon which truly meaningful learning is built. It is not about controlling children’s behavior, but about accompanying them as they discover their needs and find healthy ways to honor them.

The intention of this community is to bring Nonviolent Communication into education and to create spaces where these resources foster greater well-being for both students and the adults who support them.

A Paradigm Shift

Nonviolent Communication invites us to a radically different approach: teaching compassion by modeling connection. A place where adults learn:

To observe without judging

To make clear requests instead of demands

To connect with their own feelings and needs, as well as those of the children

To offer empathy instead of immediate correction
